Hogan Lovells recently added former Venable partners Jason Leonard and Simon Roberts to its New York office. The attorneys will practice in the firm’s intellectual property, media and technology group, bringing expertise in Hatch-Waxman litigation, and other life sciences patent disputes.

Prior to practicing at Venable, Leonard and Roberts were partners at national IP firm Fitzpatrick Cella Harper & Scinto, which was then acquired by Venable last November. The high-profile merger was the latest in a wave of IP firm acquisitions that has continued conversation about the future of boutiques in this space.

Hogan Lovells currently holds national rankings by LMG Life Sciences in the regulatory, corporate and non-IP litigation areas. For intellectual property, New York's Arlene Chow is recognized as a Life Sciences Star.
